Today, Ox & I attempted the BT trail. IT, WAS, TOUGH. Like I have underestimated it and overestimated my ability hahaha. Firstly, at the rifle range trail, I fell forward with the bike toppling over me, SLOW-MO. I retardedly pressed the front brake while going downhill because I was trying to maintain balance while changing gear. Hence resulting in a bruise which I initially thought was lactic acid build-up haha. Note to self, do not press front brake fully while going down. *I also realised that it's better to rush down than to go slow. Secondly, We noobishly treaded over roots and stems and walked while pushing our bicycles up the disgustingly short but vertical inclines. The slopes were at like some 60/70 degree angle with tremendous unsteady rocks, pot holes and unruly roots that will kill you. Having no helmets on, we decided that we should'nt act bravo and so we got off our bikes and treaded through most of the paths. It was up and down all the way man, like U-shaped forest ground. Technical and narrow. Not only that, while you're going through that mtb path, you really wonder to yourself, HOW THE SHIT, DO PEOPLE CYCLE UP AND DOWN THESE. Seriously. But anyway, after completing about half (maybe) or 1/3 of the trail, we rooted out via hillview because it was getting dark and Ox's seatpost busted on her. And she had to keep talking about serial killers or jeepers creepers moments while we were cycling around the dark routes. Bailed out and headed to A's house for some shelter before getting some prata (which was awesome). Calories loss < calories gained . There's only one thing left to say, I'm going back! With my full face helmet and I'm going to shred all the slopes that I can. And that can only be done after the exams. Dead man, I have like 1234567 shitz to study and I'm not even past 1. Sheesh they better give hints before the exam commences. Meanwhile, I shall go check out downhill techniques, I think I'm too tired to even read the notes.
