Okay I'm shagged man my back is like so tired but I really wanna eat some ice cream. Today's weather is so good, it's like cloudy. A little humid but otherwise perfect. Anyway, so this morning I cycled out the BT and as usual I was early and I waited for like half an hour before the other cyclists came. Waited at the carpark, saw this group of xc cyclists. Those dudes are crazy, but obviously from their team jerseys and their 0_0 bikes they're like regulars. Anyway, I saw this girl she was at the back and she was riding a louis garneau xc bart but didn't dare to join them 'cause they'd probably speed like shit. Anyhoo, I thought the group that was joining me (or rather I'm joining them) was gonna be like maybe only 3 guys. But I saw this group of guys cycling towards me and like frikin' 7 of them ok. I was like ommmg ok why am I even here. And like I said my full face helmet was some attn grabber, hahah. So waited for a while for another guy to come then we commenced on our journey. I almost died of embarrassment. I pushed my bike up all the first uphills and they all cycled up. There was this guy who was riding single speed and yet he could still cycle up though he had to push in the middle. LOL and somemore this other guy behind me who called himself the sweeper ; he didn't want to go ahead of me 'cause he is supposedly the dude that keeps the group together. I was some slow ass man. So after a while I stopped asking if he wanted to go ahead of me. Anyway, I am glad 'cuz I managed to clear all the downhills without braking like a baby so it's good that I'm getting used to it. Headed to the gangsa dj park but I was too tired to even try. All of 'em weren't even panting but I was panting and breathing so frikin' hard like as if I just sprinted 10 miles. So anyway cycled even more and I was soooo tired. Thank God they finally cycled out of the forest to some kopitiam at bt. panjang and so I joined them. Then continued in the trail back to rifle range with 3 other guys and they taught me some stuff and made me practise (lool) and so I finally managed to cycle up most of the uphills and panted lesser. Anyway there was this ultimate downhill which was super rocky, not very steep but it's pretty long and gets you to a real fast speed. I lost control halfway at some rocky drop and I frikin' flew forward with my bike toppling over and I landed on the back and hit the side of my head, like a pig in a barrel. At that point I was like omg okay I am not changing my ff to a mullet. I'm glad I wore my ff. Can't imagine if my face got scratched... And my chains hooked off like the other time but the guys fixed it in 1 minute. I can't believe I wanted to go to the bike shop that time when the same thing happened, it would've been moronic. And then they taught me to pick a line and go again lol I was like shit but anyway I tried twice more and got the hang of it so in a way it's good to retry a failed section. So finally I'm back, think I did 10km offroad. It's a real breeze cycling for miles on the road, but hitting the trails with roots/potholes/rocks, all I can say is it is wayyyy more fun, gnarlier, tiring but in the end, the downhill sections really paid off.
