Whew, the retreat was awesome. Very good messages and food's not bad and really learned a lot and got pretty encouraged. I'm glad I went. Was at first a little lazy but I am really glad I went. They'll be speaking at my church for the next two weeks too so can't wait to hear what God wants to say through them. Anyhoo, seeing that the sun is so frikin' sunny and it wasn't raining where I was, I decided to go cycling at BT the moment I returned home. Ate shitloads of duck rice and immediately set off for BT with my trusty helmet & gloves, (which made me look as if I do hardcore shit but actually damn noobish)and also the very petite camelbak with strips of pink o.o Rode through the first part via the backroad near my house, that wasn't too bad but the seat kept screwing up on me. That and also the whole forest floor was muddy and wet, the kind where your wheel drives into the mud, very sick. Then the hard part hit me. Had to push the bike up pretty much all the slopes, then I hit the first downhill. O.m.g I was like crap... nevertheless, I went down on my bicycle, but real slow. If you were anywhere near you could hear the sound of my screeching brakes as I try to skid down the hill. Managed to pass through, then one of the high bumps screwed my chains. I stopped in the middle of the muddy singletrack and attempted to fix it. I, was, clueless. Some angmohs passed by, pretty nice, asked if everything was fine and stuff. The singaporeans that passed by just gave me that look... So I had to retreat and push my bike out of the trail. Embarrassing much, especially with the helmet and a dirtjump bike ... Then this angmoh guy talked to me and he thought I found it too tough LOL which actually I did but I just said nah my chains busted on me ahaha. Continued out and met another guy who busted his chains hahaha, sux to bust your chain in the middle of nowhere. Anyway my dad came to my rescue, wanted him to drive me to the bike shop but apparently he did some kick here-there and bam it was fixed... Decided not to cycle back into the trail 'cause I spotted a whole troop of cyclists that were about to go in. God was good while I was cycling down 'cause there was no one behind me so it wasn't so embarrassing lol. Cycled back down the RRR trail to my house and cleaned the bike up. I'm gonna go back next week and practise like shit. Met with like 5 monitor lizards and it's those sickass 1m ones... One of which I almost rolled over. I wonder if it's breeding season. Ah well, can't wait to go try again!
